Fiction Theme: “He Said, She Said” (or any combination of opposing pronouns)

"No"  dialogue is essentially two people talking past each other. The surface  disagreement is specific and concrete, and yet at the same time, full  of deep emotional undertones carried in opposing realities. We'll be  looking for conflict, characterization and detail. Please include the  words imaginary, see-saw, and ketchup.

• $10 fee per entry supports SFR’s journalism mission.

Nonfiction: Theme “On the Road Again”

Take us on a journey  with your road story, whether it was a cross-country or cross-town trip  in a van, hybrid or two-wheel vehicle. We'll be looking for drama,  description and voice—and to feel the wind in our hair.
